over heard the rhythm in one of the youtube clips this morning. it sounded so familiar to me. i had to have heard it somewhere before... after digging deeper on the net, i found the song title: 『Wish You Were Here』. what i remembered is actually the gregorian's version:
this gregorian's version has more electronica and chanting elements. it is one of my favourite tracks from the band.
this song is originally from Pink Floyd (rock version):
however, my favourite version is this sparklehorse's cover version featured by Thom Yorke. i like it mainly cos of its rhythm: soft and catching. the best part for me is the guitar and piano.
someone claims that Thom Yorke's vocals was recorded over the phone from his hotel room, and that the "noise" in the background is from the TV in that hotel room... duno whether it's true or not...
a very very very sad song by Sissel ... listening to it would make you want to cry...
actually there is another version of this song (with different title and lyrics) called "The Water is Wide", not sure which is the original one~ (I guess it's "The Water is Wide")
it's summer snow in the deep blue sea i try to touch, but it fades away it must be a dream i will never get just like my love that's crying for you
if there were something not to change forever we could feel it deep, deep in our heart today is over with a million tears still everyone has a wish to live
oh, i do believe ever lasting love and destiny to meet you again i feel a pain i can hardly stand all i can do is loving you
it's summer snow in the deep blue sea i try to touch, but it fades away it must be a dream i will never get just like my love that's crying for you just like my love that's crying for you
